At the end of the school year 2015-16 Randolph TAPs first group tour was to Peru. It was an amazing trip. The students, at all times, represented Randolph admirably. They hovered around our tour guides listening and questioning. We traveled to Lima, the capital, first and learned a bit about life in the southerns hemisphere, the people, history and culture of Peru, and about crazy drivers!

The second half of the trip was to Cuzco in the highlands – elevation just under two miles up,  and to Machu Picchu – the highlight of the trip.

In March I went to Berlin and tagged along with another school’s trip for 2 days to see what it was like! While I was there I saw and learned about:

Berlin Wall’s East Side gallery where people have treated the wall rightfully irreverently.

The Brandenburg gate where the Nazis marched through the gate in a martial torchlight parade, celebrating Hitler’s rise to power.
